Our Farm Story
Michaele, Joe and Blake began a small 5 acre farm 30 years ago growing vegetables, flowers and a small flock of chickens. Joe was a carpenter with a business called Wood Things, Blake at age 5 decided to raise the chickens and called his business Egg Things. It seemed only natural that Michaele, who grew the veggies and flowers, call her business Growing Things. We soon outgrew our 5 acres and purchased a 30 acre farm in the same valley and continued to grow. Joe is no longer with us and Blake has moved on to establish his own farm. Michaele has retired from running a row crop and protein operation and has now devoted her time to her secret passion which is developing skin care and medicinal balms and remedies from ingredients raised on the farm.
